Takamine EF740S GN 2009 – Natural

This is a very rare, near mint Takamine Mahogany OM Series guitar. Given that Takamine received all of Martin Guitars specs for construction during the “Lawsuit Era” this is about as close as you can get to a Martin OO-M guitar. Add the Piezo Pick-up and Takamine takes it to the next level. These were hand built in the Japan Takamine Pro Series Facility that has been building precision quality instruments over five decades. Some say the facility goes beyiond the Martin Custom Shop in how meticulous it is in refinement.

The solid cedar top is supported by scalloped x bracing and voiced for superb balance across the entire playable range and features a fully bound body and fretboard, finished in an antique satin stain. The mahogany neck is joined to all mahogany body with the traditional ultra strong dovetail joint. It includes nice edging detail on the top and bottom of the body and sound hole. The dual action adjustable tension rod keeps the guitar playing true no matter what the environment. Includes Takamine’s Palathetic™ pickup is known in the industry as one of the most accurate and natural sounding acoustic/electric pickups.
