Shure 510S w/Rare Atlas Sound 2283 Boomerang Stand 50s – Green

You are looking at a very unique and somewhat rare 1951 Shure Brothers 510S model controlled magnetic microphone which comes with an original cable, box and data sheet.

These mics were affordable entry level pieces available for those who didn’t have deep pockets back in the day. The 510S was a rugged, allmetal body microphone set at high impedance and used for general broadcasting. Thing is…these mics just happen to have one of the finest harp mic element s known to man. According to what I have read online. I plugged it into an acoustic amp and it works fine. Switch might need hink this mic was never even used. The switch gives the user the option to go live at all times or only when needed. Don’t know how that works as when I plugged it in it works all the time. Maybe the switch needs to be cleaned?? It has a super cool Atlas Boomerang stand that I have never seen before, just adds to the coolness of the mic. It has its original cloth covered cable about 7 feet long. I never clean items that have all their original patina as I have been chewed out for doing so. I just couldn’t resist wiping my shirt over the shore logo and it cleaned up nicely, see last photo
