Gibson ES-335 1977 – Walnut

$2,900.00

This is what I was told is a 1977 ES-335. This one sadly wend thru a fire in someones home. This one probably had one of the oval decals for a serial number on the back of the headstock because there are no numbers impressed there. Gibson used the oval decal for 3 years or so. This one probably burned off when it went thru the fire. It was traded in by a friend which played it live for over a year now. He saw another guitar that I have and we traded. Looks like it has new frets as they are in excellent condition. This one looks to be all original save the tuners which were changed to Grovers and a new truss rod cover. I probably have some original tuners but what’s the point. These work great and thats what people did back in the early days. Anyway, this guitar plays great and has nice low action. Everything works great, its just been thru a lot in its life. I have not cleaned it in any way and Im sure it could clean up nicely if someone wants to take the time. I don’t. I have also been scolded for taking off the original patina and this one has loads of it. You would think it would stink from smoke but it doesn’t, crazy. Ohh and one of the tone knobs has been changed, I will try and find one if need be and I will also find a hardshell case to ship it in.
