Gibson Challenger – White

This is what’s left of a Challenger guitar I took in trade. The neck is in excellent condition and the guitar played great with low action before I took it apart to see what was under the hood. First of all, someone refinished it in white at some point and then they changed the pickups, pickguard and electronics. It had some generic import pickups and definitely not what came in it from the factory. Also they did a pretty bad job on the pickguard but there is enough there to get a good tracing for making your own. Get some good pickups of your choice and a new guard and you are pretty much ready to make it your own. Its down far enough that if you want to refinish it in your choice of colors then you simply pull the neck and do your thing. This is a fund project for someone and it will certainly be killer when finished. What you will receive is the neck with Gibson tuners, the body, the pots and switch and also the Schaller bridge that has adjustable saddles for great intonation. What you see is what you will receive.
